Refurbishment Update #6

Alright! We are moving right along here! So, it took about one day to fix the browser issue with the “Now Playing” page so all browsers should be able to view it. If there is a browser that still cannot view the “Now Playing” page, please contact us right away so we can fix it.

In the meantime, we are still finishing adding the rest of tracks that were originally on the radio station. We are only at 475 out of over 1000 tracks so yes, this process will take a long time, but we are very happy to have the station up and running while we finish this process. Keep checking back for updates soon!

Refurbishment Update #5

Two updates in one day! This is a record. Anyway, we’ve done something that we think would be best for impatient people. We have opened up the radio with whatever audio is ready to go! That’s right! You can now listen to part of our collection as we continue to finish adding the tracks that were originally on there. There have been reports that the “Now Playing” page does not work for Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. For the time being, it is best to view this website with Mozilla Firefox until we fix this problem. Thank you!

Refurbishment Update #4

Okay, Okay, I know what everyone is probably thinking.. is this project abandoned? Of course not! We have gone through some difficulties over the past year this site has been under refurbishment, but we are getting back on track! Yes, It’s been a little over a year already since the refurbishment began and I had no idea how much there actually was the change and fix and make better. We hope to open our doors as soon as possible.

Refurbishment Update #3

Well, it’s been quite a long time since we have update everyone on our refurbishment status. We had a few setbacks during the past few months, but don’t worry, we have not and will not abandon this fantastic new radio station. Rebuilding our collection has taken much more time than we thought. We think we may re-open by the end of September or early October. Keep checking back for more updates and I promise they will be much longer than this one.

Refurbishment Update #2

It is time for another update on our current refurbishment of DizFreak Radio! Over the past few weeks, I have been contemplating on whether the radio station should be be moved to another computer. Well, just yesterday (5/14/10) the decision was made to move the entire radio station to a new (Windows 7) computer. Hopefully the servers and everything will work alright on this new computer.

On the downside, the radio station will not be operating 24/7 for the next few years or so. But when the previous, old, Windows XP, laptop becomes Windows 7. then it will be possible to run the radio station 24/7.

Why can’t the radio station be run 24/7 on the new computer? This is due to a couple reasons. One reason being that I’m not the only one who uses this new computer. It would be a hassle to monitor the radio station 24/7 if others start using it at random times in the day. Also, keeping a large computer on costs MONEY!! Not to mention that it is not healthy for the computer if other people are going to be using it. Just because the station won’t be on the air 24/7 doesn’t mean it won’t be on at all! In fact, it will be on the air most of the time everyday! I’m pretty sure you can all manage it being on most of the day for at least the next three years.

Refurbishment Update!

Well, after about a few weeks of re-doing the new and improved website, it is finished. But this does not mean that the radio station is! We encourage all who come to this website, to join our community so that it can grow for the future. You’ll notice that the following pages do not load correctly: Now Playing and Playlist/Requests. This is because the radio station is not yet finished being refurbished. When it is, then those pages will be functional. Also, when the radio station is up and running again and those following pages are not loading, this means that the radio station is off the air.

Well, we hope you all enjoy the new website! And check back again for more updates regarding the radio station.

DizFreak Refurbishment!

As many people already know, we are in the process of refurbishing our website, DizFreak Radio, and our radio station. Of course there is already a few noticeable changes in the website! One being this new news section, which is a great way to keep up to date with anything new in DizFreak Radio as well as anything Disney! Also, the new logo picture, which in my opinion looks very nice!

For the time being, these next few posts will keep all readers informed on the updates of this refurbishment until it is fully finished. We all cannot wait for the new and improved DizFreak Radio, but until then, much work is needed to accomplish our goal. Keep checking back often for new updates regarding our refurbishment.
